51 Awards Best Personality 2017 Derek Griffith

Scene-Stealing Performance

(Best Personality)

Everybody loves heading to the race track and meeting their heroes at the autograph session or in the pit area.  It’s even better when your heroes are fun people.  Whether they’re nice or quirky or just enjoyable to be around, there are many race car drivers with terrific personalities.

According to race fans, no driver embodied that likable spirit more than New Hampshire’s Derek Griffith.

Griffith is a hard-working kid who races hard, but also knows how to make any fan’s day.  When he’s at the race track, he can often be spotted talking to fans young and old with a big smile on his face.

In fact, his biggest fan might be the grandfather of our editor, Brandon Paul. Griffith regularly takes time out of his day to correspond via Facebook Messenger with Paul’s grandfather and through his kindness has earned himself a lifelong fan.

Griffith’s likeability can also be noticed by attending a PASS North event, where you will likely see more Derek Griffith t-shirts in the grandstands than any other driver’s t-shirts.

Finishing second in the voting this year is T-Mac, Tim McCreadie, of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Canadian driver Raphael Lessard finished third, followed by Harrison Burton and Andy Seuss.
