Derek Griffith Returns To Home Track, Looking To Build On Point Lead

(Hudson, NH) The 2015 Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has once again seen multiple winners on the young season, no driver has been happier with their performance than Hudson, NH native and driver of the MOM’s of Manchester/LCM Racing Toyota Camry, Derek Griffith.

The 18 year-old is the current point’s leader on the series and has also grabbed his first career GSPSS victory earlier this year at Claremont Speedway. Griffith is yet to finish outside the top-5 in the first three events of 2015.

The driver of the No. 12 Tyngsboro Motors Camry will try and tame the ¼-mile track this Sunday, June 14th.

Derek talks about cutting his teeth at Hudson, “I really love racing at Hudson, the track is really a racers track, there isn’t a bunch of grip and the surface is rough. I’ve won a bunch of races there in the lower divisions, it’s time to win in our pro-stock, especially in front of our hometown crowd.”

Griffith is in unfamiliar territory with the GSPSS, he’s never been the point leader but feels with the consistency of his entire team, he has a great shot to maintain his lead coming out of Hudson and hopes to gain more momentum as the tour will travel to Hudson’s sister track, Star Speedway on June 27th.

Post time for the June 14, 2015 Gate City Classic from Hudson Speedway is 4pm.
