Griffith Hopes To Capitalize On Current Hot Streak

(Hudson, NH) – One of the hottest Pro Stock drivers in the Northeast will race back-to-back on Friday and Saturday. Derek Griffith, the current point’s leader for the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) has entered the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model 150-lap event at Lee Speedway, which is set to go green on Friday June 26th   and the GSPSS event at Star Speedway on Saturday June 27th.

Griffith enjoys racing at Lee USA Speedway in the high-horsepower super late models and will pilot the No. 12 The Club/LCM Racing Engines Toyota Camry in Friday’s event. Griffith also enjoys Lee because it’s the site of his first pro stock victory [2011 Oktoberfest event].

Derek explains, “I am always excited to return to where we first visited victory lane, Lee is a very special track, we love the way the cars get around this oval. Racing with PASS also allows us to showcase our team in front of very stiff competition. We had a good run at Star and learned a lot when we went up to Thunder Road with PASS. This is our third start of the season with them, to say I’m pumped you be an understatement.”

There will be a quick turn-around for the Griffith race team as they will also look to get their third win of the season when the GSPSS visits Star Speedway on Saturday June 27th. Griffith won the last event that the series held on June 14th [Hudson International Speedway] and will be looking to drive his No. 12 MOM’s of Manchester/Tyngsboro Motors Toyota Camry in to victory lane again and continue his season of dominance.

Griffith talks about his GSPSS season so far, “It’s been a great season so far, I’m not really surprised where we are right now. My Crew Chief [Louie Mechalides] just gives us an awesome car for every event. He’s believed in me from the beginning and I’m just glad we are running the way I knew we could run.”

Come out to both Lee Speedway on Friday June 26th and watch Derek in action, the post time is 7:00 pm. Then on Saturday, the team will be at Star Speedway, the post time for that event is 4:00 pm.
