Griffith to Compete at Speedway 95

For Immediate Release

(Hermon, ME) – Sometimes drivers love the challenges of a new track, what driver doesn’t like visiting a new place? Well, you can just say that when Derek Griffith visits a track, after never even setting foot at the facility, good things happen.

Griffith, the 2015 Granite State Pro Stock Series Champion (GSPSS]) got last season off to a hot start by visiting a track he had ever even seen [Claremont Speedway] and came home with the victory, he hopes to just that when the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) visits Speedway 95 on Sunday, May 15th.

After being asked what he expects this weekend, Griffith responded, “Well, I like going to new places, we had great success doing that last year, we would like to continue our strong effort on the PASS tour and put our new Sponsor, Hitman Firearms & Industries into victory lane. We have become comfortable racing with the talent on the PASS tour, I’m glad we are getting the finishes we deserve.”

Griffith currently sits tenth in season long championship points for the PASS North Tour and hopes to break into the top-10 after this weekend. Griffith remarks, “Right now in the early going, we are where I thought we would be in the points, I mean it’s so early that we really don’t even put much stock into the standings but as a driver, you always want to stay in-or close to the top-10 so when the end stretch comes, you have a shot.”

Griffith wanted to start the defense of his GSPSS Championship when that tour visits White Mountain Motorsports Park on May 21st but now a reschedule of a previously rained out PASS event will interrupt that, Derek explains, “We were planning on running select PASS races and the full season for the GSPSS but now it looks like it may be the other way around. When Star Speedway and PASS announced that the Support50 legs 150 was rescheduled for May 21st, we feel we need to continue on with PASS, especially at our home track.”

The racing on Sunday May 15th from Speedway 95 is scheduled to start at 1:30pm. Go to for more event information.
